Mount Barker Pinot Noir

Punching well above its weight this Pinot Noir is a cracker.
2024 was brutally hot and dry, it was also the earliest vintage on record. Even with the fruit all coming from the cooler sites on our Mt Barker Vineyards being so dry there was no disease pressure allowing the fruit to ripen and give more of that plush end of the spectrum we love with good structure and a great tannin profile.
COLOUR
A bright and luscious looking ruby red.
AROMA
Strawberry and cherries give way to sweet thyme, rosemary and hints of fennel, cedar and red liquorice. The lovely smell of new leather shoes.
PALATE
Silky, rich dark fruits, wine gums, star anise and hints of sarsaparilla give us a medium weight nicely balanced by a soft drying tannin structure supporting the lush mulberry finish.
CELLARING POTENTIAL
A crowd pleaser for sure - delicious now or cellar for a couple of years for that extra little bit of pizazz.
Smoked Beef Ribs & BBQ lamb.
