Sauvignon Blanc
This is in our ‘Regional Range’ portfolio; wines from specific sub-regions of the Great Southern. This fruit is all from our ‘Langton’ vineyard, Mt Barker. After a cool wet winter, the growing season was quite moderate without any untoward weather during ripening. Harvest was in early March and the juice fermented at cool temperatures to retain maximum flavour.
COLOUR
Very bright and clear with the merest hint of colour.
AROMA
Fresh and aromatic; it has lovely aromas of fresh snow peas, a delicate herbaceousness and light tropical fruit characters e.g., honeydew melon.
PALATE
This is fresh and crisp with loads of zesty, sweet fruit flavours. There are light and fresh tropical fruit flavours rather than too much herbaceousness. It has a nicely weighted palate and along with its citrussy acidity, has combined to give it its great persistence of flavour.
CELLARING POTENTIAL
This is well flavoured Sauvignon Blanc best enjoyed as a young wine, serve with or without a meal.
