Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Arguably our most popular wine, all the Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc fruit is sourced from cool climate vineyards in the Great Southern region of WA; predominately Mt Barker. For the 2023 vintage it’s 55 % Semillon, 45 % Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc provides the fresh herbaceousness while the Semillon provides the lemony flavours and the good palate weight. Harvesting at night, fermenting at cool temperatures and bottling early ensures we retain maximum fruit flavour and vibrancy in this wine.

COLOUR

Bright and clear with the tiniest hint of green/gold.

AROMA

Gently aromatic, this has light passionfruit and ripe pear on the nose, all complexed with just a hint of cut grass.

PALATE

Delicious drinking! It has excellent zestiness and fresh herbaceous flavours together with a good palate weight. The lovely acidity contributes to the very good persistence of flavour. Our SSB is crisp and fruity with a pleasingly dry finish. Best enjoyed while fresh and young wine. Excellent drinking now and over the next 12+ months.
